A DATE TO REMEMBER:

A DATE TO REMEMBER:

Another 09/11 has arrived.
Sad memories all around.
How can one forget that awful day.
That shocked the whole world round.

My heart goes out to the US,
To those who lost family and friends.
I visited Ground Zero whilst in New York.
A most humbling experience there I did spend.

09/11 for me already had sad memorie.
Before the events in the US.
It was that day back in "98"
I lost my dear husband I confess.

I will spend the day by the sea,
To get out and about.
A sad day, it goes without saying.
Certainly without a doubt.

  2. A sad day, one to reflect on. Have a good stroll by the sea and let's all pray for peace of some sort in this crazy world. Take care.

  5. I hope your walk by the seashore relaxed you, Yvonne, and eased the pain of the loss of your husband. Many others were lost that day, too. A truly sad day. Treasure the memories. No one can take them away. Have a lovely, refreshing Thursday. Hugs.

  8. I'm glad that this year's 9/11 tragic anniversaries are behind you. It must be so difficult! So many things about the 9/11 attack were shocking. One of which was the fact that a lawyer in my sister Donnie's office in Calgary, Alberta, Canada was killed. The tragedy took people of many nationalities. As for your personal anniversary and the loss of your husband ~ I can't even imagine. Sending you a big hug!
