HOLDING HANDS:

Again I write an old poem,
Mainly because I stay indoors
and apart from my blog just read,
Watch TV and chores.

HOLDING HANDS:
Holding hands
As we walked down the aisle.
The man of my dreams,
Me, with a radiant smile.

Holding hands.
We made plans, we mad dreams.
The future look rosy,
Like summer's sun beams.

Holding hands.
I gave birth to a son.
Gazing down in wonder
As a new life begun.

Holding hands.
Three years on.
I presented you
With another son.

Holding hands.
My head in a whirl.
I brought into the world,
Our little girl.

Holding hands.
We weathered the storms.
Snuggled by the fire
To keep ourselves warm.

Hold hands.
As our children flew the nest.
Our job completed.
They knew their own minds best.

Holding hands.
While you slept.
My heart broken,
Alone as I wept.

Holding hands.
With a heavy heart.
I was with you.
"Til death did us part.

  5. It's a beautiful poem! You're actually very lucky to have been married to the love of your life. A lot of us never have that opportunity. I know it must hurt to lose someone you're so close to, but I'm sure the life you had together was beautiful.
