GUESS WHAT I DID?

GUESS WHAT I DID?

As yet I have to venture outside,
Since our trials and tribulations.
I appreciate I'm not the only one,
In my lonely situation.

So today I decided things have to change,
If a near normal life I want to lead.
I sat down and thought things over,
Yes sir ,yes indeed.

I picked up the phone,
And made an important call.
It was to my hairdresser,
I was having a ball.

I booked an appointment
But it is not for five weeks.
First I have to get walking about.
If a tidy head I do seek.

So from this week I will start
To walk just a short way.
Making that first step will be hard.
But it will get easier every day.

So wish me luck one and all,
It's something I "MUST" do.
I must look more human again.
By having a much needed hair do.

  2. Good for you. A walk in fresh air will be such a relief. Just stay away from folks. Be careful and build up strength again with a goal in sight. Nice!!

  3. I'm sure you'll really enjoy getting your hair cut. It's been since November since I've had mine cut. I'm beginning to look like Rapunzel!

    1. I last went last October so you can imagine and feel how I feel as I do for you. I am aware there is a risk having our hair done but how can one go without having it cut?
Good luck with yours....I can appreciate how you feel.

  4. Good for you Yvonne!!! Now get out and about and only wear a mask if by a lot of people. I wear one indoors but if outdoors I keep one on but under my nose and mouth and if I am approaching someone then I put it up until after I pass them. Enjoy the outside and in 5 weeks getting your hair done!

  6. I think you're making some great changes. We all have to go out a little to not be so lonely. And we all have to decide what we feel is safe for us. I'm really happy for you because I know what it's like to be lonely.

    1. Thank you Natalie, loneliness is a horrible thing more so in a pandemic. I am a bit wary on planning to have my hair done in August but I can't colour and cut it myself.
Hope your loneliness is not too bad.
      Take care and be safe.

  7. Good for you, Yvonne! I cringe every time I look in the mirror and see my hair. I gave Terry his third haircut by me the other day. At least I didn't scalp him. I wish he could color and cut my hair. One day at a time for all of us. Hugs to you!

    2. Keep thinking about that risk, Yvonne. I whine about my hair, and my sisters ask, "Is that haircut and color worth your life?" Of course, they went naturally gray quite a while ago and are content to let their locks grow and grow. LOL

    3. I do keep thinking about the risk but with painful shoulders I can't do my own hair and have no one who can. What a dilemma?
