MR PIANO MAN:

(Based on a true event whilst in San Francisco)

MR. PIANO MAN:
Thought we were going out
For a quiet drink in the pub.
It was Saturday night,
Then people entered from a bingo club.

Up until then quietness reigned supreme.
Then suddenly the scene lightened.
A man in a cowboy's hat on
Had the customers delighted.

He opened the old piano
Then old tunes he started to play.
People were singing their hearts out,
As night time turned into day.

It was an old fashioned atmosphere
Far removed from today's rock and pop.
Mr. Piano Man from "Nowhere",
Pulled out all the stops.

Everyone was having a good time.
Really having a ball.
Then someone shouted "Here's Bill"
Yes, it was the men from the law.

Undeterred Mr. Piano Man
Kept his performance going.
Swiftly his fingers swept over the keys,
Even "Bill's" eyes were glowing.

Well all good things must come to an end,
The piano lid now closed down/
Before one could say, "Son Of A Gun",
Mr. Piano Man had left town.
