LOVE ON THE ROCKS
RECORDED BY NEIL DIAMOND
FROM THE FILM
THE JAZZ SINGER:
Walking along a deserted beach
At the eve of the day.
The moon on the horizon,
Coming out to play.
We strolled hand in hand,
No need to speak.
Lost in a world of our own,
Giving each other a sideways peck.
We came across some rocks
All rugged and worn.
Looking at the beauty surrounding us,
With hearts full of adorn.
Sitting on the rocks
Watching the incoming tide.
Stealing a kiss or two,
Our love we couldn't hide.
We didn't see the sea
Quickly approaching us.
We heard someone shouting,
Wondering whatever the fuss.
Almost marooned on the rocks,
We safely reached the sands.
Love on the rocks was special
As we walked home hand in hand.
