WELCOME TO THE 17TH LETTER
OF THE A TO Z CHALLENGE:
I WILL CHOOSE A SONG TITLE
THEN WRITE MY OWN POEM:
Q
is for
QUE SERA SERA
RECORDED BY DORIS DAY:
FROM THE FILM
THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH:
Whatever will be will be,
As the old adage do say.
Still certainly meant what it said
For me on this very long Sunday.
First my Internet was down,
For most of the day.
After countless telephone calls,
It decided to return (hopefully) to stay.
Just as I was relaxing,
I realised it was time for me to eat.
I retrieved a meal from the ice box
And in the microwave prceeded to heat.
The microwave it seems
Has broken down.
On my face dear friends
Was a furious frown.
I ended up with sandwiches,
That I ate with "Glee".
Thinking of the imortal words,
What Will Be Will Be.
It is now 22-40pm .
I will post this as I go to bed.
With the tune Que Sera Sera,
Happily running through my head.

ReplyDeleteYesterday wasn't one of them Pat.
DeleteBummer! Sorry to hear your microwave "died." At least you had a sandwich. I have listened to Doris Day sing that song a number of times over the years. Hope you got some good rest!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment Gregg, I didn't sleep that good.

Little hiccups teach one to be more tolerant. Life is such that one learns something out of them. Nicely Yvonne!

Would you believe I've had "Another Day". I always phone John in Spain on a pay as you go phone as O2 won't allow to phone abroad on my Iphone. I broke the cheap phone, ordered another it should have been here last week. Now I learned they delivered it to the wrong address. Thanks for your kind comment Lee, I think I will get MacArthur Park from ITunes.
DeleteYvonne.
No way! The last blog I visited talked about this song. My mom was a big Doris Day fan, so naturally I heard this song a lot. :)
ReplyDeleteOh dear David I take it you're not a Doris Day fan.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Yes, whatever will be, will be. Sometimes it's hard for me to sit back and accept that.
ReplyDeleteI feel so inadequate Sherry, there was me bemoaning my horrible Sunday and poor you and friends had a worse one possible.
DeleteThanks for taking the trouble to comment, much appreciated.
Please take care.
Yvonne.
Huh.
