BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY:
The sun is a shinning
To herald a new day.
Forgotten is the heavy rain
Of yesterday.
Soon the church bells will be ringing,
Calling one and all to pray.
For God to forgive our sins,
On this beautiful Sunday.
After the church service,
Sunday lunch is a must.
Please don't eat too much,
Or you'll be fit to bust.
A walk along the shore,
In the afternoon.
My, dosen't these Sundays
Come around soon.?
I hope your Sunday,
Happy will be.
As I sit alone in the evening,
Watching TV.

I never get to hold the remote, so I look forward to being alone and watching TV.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem, Yvonne. Sundays are special...when you pause to appreciate. I am often tempted to play catch-up on Sunday, and sometimes do.
Thanks Elizabeth for your wonderful comment. Much appreciated.

Sunday morning's my yoga time. Without it I'm a slug. I saw that you sent Alex a copy of your book. That was so sweet.

Beautiful poem. Love the part about not eating too much. My Sunday was restful. Church, lunch (I didn't eat too much). Afternoon with the cats and computer. Enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Beverly for your kind comment, pleased you had a good Sunday among your cats and computer.
