IN READINESS FOR ST. PATRICK'S DAY:
DANIEL AT HOME:
In a rural part of Ireland
With it's beauty all aound.
There is a village called Kincasslagh
It's so quiet one can't hear a sound.
Except for the voice of Daniel,
When he's at home in CO. Donegal.
His fans flock by the thousands
When he opens his house for all..
He is a country boy at heart,
No matter where e'er he may roam.
He is so proud of his * mother* and family
And is happiest when he is at home.
His charity work is endless.
That's one thing you'll never forget.
When he saw those five hundred orphans,
In Romania, a place called Siret.
He has heped to transform their lives,
There is still much work to be done.
I think from his humble surroundings
Is why his heart they have won.
So away from the footlights and fame,
Away from the make up and paint.
If one had to nominate anyone,
Surely Daniel would be Ireland's second Saint.
*Daniels mother sadly passed away last year

DeleteWell, due to a DNA test that my sister took as she traced our geneological tree, she has informed us that we are 24% Irish and 8% British, the rest some other things. But being Protestant we wear orange on St. Patrick's day. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!
ReplyDeleteAh so Gregg you may well be related to Danny Boy. , Most interesting to read.
