WELCOME TO DAY THREE OF THE
A TO Z CHALLENGE:
I HAVE CHOSEN A SONG TITLE AND
WRITTEN MY OWN POEM: (posted 0035am 03/04/2015')
C is for CHASING RAINBOWS
RECORDED BY NEIL SEDAKA:
Whenever I see a rainbow,
I feel all aglow.
The colours are so awesome
Why I shall never know.
I can sit at my window,
Surveying this beautiful sight.
It's a kind of magic,
Knowing everything will be alright.
In my mind's eye
I'm Dorothy chasing rainbows,
Looking for The Yellow Brick Road.
Will I find it? I have yet to know.
I gather my four grandchildren,
Together we sit and look.
Their eyes full of wonder,
A scene from a fairy book.
Next time you see a rainbow,
No matter if there's no pot of gold.
For your gold is here on Earth
As all your family you enfold.
