I wrote this some years ago
which was dedicated to my cats' Tabitha's vets
You see Tabitha was diabetic and needed constant care..
THANK YOU AND GOODBYE:
I wouls like to extend my thanks
For all you've done for me.
But I feel oh so weary now
To my "Human Dad" I'm off to see.
To a place where there is no sickness,
A place where there is no p[ain.
Yes! I think the time has come
To see my "Human Dad" again.
I know my "Mum" will be heartbroken,
Perhaps you may be too.
But in a funny sort of way
I thought the world of you.
You've all been so kind to me.
And have done your very best.
Thank you and goodbye,
In my "Human Dads'" arms I'm going to rest.

The photo of Tabitha reminds me so much of my cat Buttons. She was tortoiseshell and a lovely cat. She died a couple of years ago at the grand old age of 17. Still miss them, don't you.
ReplyDeleteStrange both of us havine tortoisehell cats, Tabitha was a great comfort after my husband passed away, She managed to live for a further two years. She's been gone many a year but I still miss here.
