WELCOME TO DECEMBER:
Where has the year gone I ask?
This month as we approach
the season of Good will I will
post a poem I wrote when I first
started writing.
SILENT NIGHT:
At Christmastime our hearts
Look back to yesteryears.
Thinking of our loved ones
The ones who are not here.
But it's also a time of hope,
For on that Silent Night.
God gave His Beloved Son
To help us see the light.
A light that would brighten the world,
To let all wars cease to be.
That future generations
Can live in harmony.
Let's join our hands together,
Let our voices sing as one.
Let's not forget that Silent Night,
When hope for the world begun.

The Silent Night, the silencing of the big guns and horrors of war and conflicts. Pray that the ensuing year will be more forgiving to those unfortunates. It is for them to just survive even without comforts but without others harassing them. Moving thoughts Yvonne!

What a lovely poem. I pray that this Christmas will bring peace and joy to many people. Unfortunately, there will be some that do not celebrate the birth of Christ. Perhaps one day, they'll discover the true meaning of the holiday. Thank you for a sweet reminder.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a most welcomed comment Beverly, I shall be alone but health willing will be working on my new book.
