IT WAS SATURDAY NIGHT:
I retired to my bed on Saturday night,
Hoping for a good night's sleep.
One hour later I heard the noise,
Out of my bed I did creep.
It was raining cats and dogs,
Against my window pane.
"Oh no" thought I no more rain,
As I returned to bed again.
Then to add insult to injury,
A lightening flash lit the room.
It upsets my epilepsy,
Whilst I laid there in doom and gloom.
It was an almighty storm that hit us,
It upset my modem of my pc.
I should have unplugged it I was told.
That's why you've had no comments from me.
Well all is restored I'm pleased to announce,
It's still raining I declare.
As long as we don't get anymore lightening,
Or I can sleep through it unaware.

I love a good thunderstorm. Can do without lightening and the damage it can cause. Hope you get some good rest in spite of it all!
ReplyDeleteI didn't sleep a wink Gregg and I am not a lover of thunderstorms either.

Whenever there's a really bad storm, I always unplug my computer. I would be devastated if a storm ruined it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about it then but I do now.

It's hard to sleep when it's raining so hard!
ReplyDeleteYou're so right Sherry, thanks for the comment.

A nasty storm can cause unnecessary havoc to affect the smooth blogging routine. Glad it is all over!
