(Its already New Year as I write.)
REFLECTIONS AND THE CONCLUSIONS
AND WHAT TO DO:
On New Years Eve I sat alone,
Watching the TV.
I suddely switched it off,
And reflected on the past year.....and me.
It didn't start that good,
Because I had to move.
I moved in the February
And to myself I had to prove.
Prove that I could "Make it".
But alas I did fail.
I was too full of self pity,
And continually I did wail.
The root of my problems,
Was not the violent man who hurt me,
But my estranged family,
Who by and large had deserted me.
Then I had health issues.
Not my fault there I hasten to add.
But with time coming off present medication,
I won't feel so bad.
It's my estranged familiy's decision,
Not to want me in their life.
I have once and for all to accept it,
So it will prevent further stress and strife.
This is a new beginning for me,
As The New Year begins.
So with the help and grace of God,
He'll forive my "Selfish Sins."
There is much to live for,
My new book and a trip to Spain.
So I have to rebuild my life
And start all over again.
It won't be easy that I know,
Much needed is tenacity,
So in the not too distant future,
There will be a "Better Me".

Yes, tenacity that strengthens the resolve. There are disagreements that may take time to resolve. Eventually they will be so resolved. Great lines Yvonne!
