IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT:
I think the heat has got to me,
After the horrendous night I had.
I went to bed quite early,
Two hours later awoken up feeling bad.
After endless trips to the loo.
Because of much water being consumed.
Beads of perspiration engulfuled my being.
The dark set of the night brought on doom and gloom.
I tossed and turned but to no avail,
Would sleep close my weary eyes?.
I sat and read for a while,
Awaiting the brightening of the sky.
Then I played Paul's CD
"I Can Make You Sleep"/
That did the trick perfectly,
I soon fell into a sleep so deep.
It was nearly eleven am,
When I awoken from my slumber.
The next time sleep evades me.
Paul's CD I'll remember.

I hate it when sleep is illusive. The same thing has been going on at our house.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by Sandra.

Paul must have a cool tone to his voice.
ReplyDeleteThank God for air conditioning or I'd never sleep in the summer.
A most relaxing voice Alex. Thanks for your kind words.

You've found a simple solution! That will immediately reduce the worry. You may not even need to play it as you are no more bothered and are now more relaxed. It will work wonders, Yvonne!

Yes Hank, his CD is now by the side of my bed.
