HAVE A GREAT SATURDAY FRIENDS:
A chance comment from one of my followers
resulted in the following poem:
LIFE'S GREAT MYSTERY:
,
One of the mysteries of life,
Must be of the "Odd Socks".
When you put a pair into the washing machine,
But one is missing when the machine door is unlocked.
Where does that sock go?
Where oh where indeed.
Many the time I've searched in vain.
My curiosity is getting the better of me.
When my husband and sons were at home,
I accumalated odd socks by the score.
Have you encountered the same problem
When you open the washing machine door?
I recall some years ago,
When I was moving to "Sunny Spain".
I came across a huge trash bag.
Full of odd socks .....in pain.
Longing for "Their partner",
Wondering where they went.
What DO happen to the odd socks
Thinking of the times looking I've spent?
There must be an explanation.
There must be a place they go.
Their must be millions of odd socks around the world.
Their owners looking high and low.

haha the odd socks just fall in love with each other and get divorce the other one.
ReplyDeleteYes Pat that's a thought.
DeleteYvonne.
That's why my socks are all black - eliminates the odd sock.
ReplyDeletePerhaps That's another reason they disappear Alex, there must be a logical explantion.

Ha, ha. Where are the socks? Must be a gremlin there hiding them away. Except in cold weather, I prefer to go sockless. Have a super weekend.
ReplyDeleteAlways remained a mystery to me, Thanks for the visit Beverly.

Hank has that of a 2 blacks and 1 brown ratio. Enough to ensure by pulling out 4 without looking there should be 1) 3blacks + 1brown or 2) 2blacks + 2brown. The #1 combination is more frequent. Once the socks' have been determined only then the slack's color is chosen.

I take it you only purchase black and brown socks......so that's the secret.

ReplyDeleteAh ! so that's where the odd socks are going.
