HELLO AUGUST:
Hello August from my corner of the world.
My, the eighth month already.
The final month of summer,
Must make the most of the days...go steady.
This month was an important one,
Many years ago.
I was an August bride.
To a person I loved so.
We wed on my mother's birthday,
So two memories to recall.
Ah yes, that day was wonderful.
A good time was had by all.
This month also see our last public holiday,
Before we celebrate the festive season,
I appreciate many of you have more than us,
But it seems a long time between then and now
(For some particular reason.)
With plenty of holiday makers,
Adorning our shops and streets.
One meets some interesting people.
Who are always willing to greet.
Do have a wonderful August,
Wherever you are I say.
And if you still have a vacation to come,
Have a wonderful holiday.
HAPPY AUGUST;
YVONNE:

August is a busy month with kids getting ready to go back to school, football players starting practice, and teachers preparing their classes. It seems like summer just started, but soon it will be over. A good August to you. I'm happy I'm retired.
