Welcome to the last IWSG FOR 2018:
How have the year been for you?
Thanks to Alex and friends for this great group.
REFLECTIONS:
I started this year full of hope.
My positivity knew no bounds.
I took in the beauty of the world.
Listening to the beatuiful sounds.
My frequent walks along the beach
I relished in all it's glory.
Then Tennessee the cat came into my life.
Well, that's another story.
Well as the year progressed,
Uneasiness filled my life.
Causing me great concern,
Creating much tears, toil and strife.
My youngest son who resided in Spain
Was diagnosed with the "Big C".
I was most concerned at this news.
As I could possibly be.
Then in October....just seven weeks ago.
He sadly passed away.
I was and still am devestated,
What else can I say?
I am by no means the only one,
To experience the same sort of grief.
Lifes continues to go on
That is my belief.
As the world looks towards Christmas,
And also to the new year.
I wish you health and happiness,
And thank you for being here.
Long may this site continue.
It's great to be able to write
About the insecurities of life,
As we continue to fight.
Thank you dear Alex.
The founder of the IWSG.
I for one am grateful.
It's a great comfort to me.

Greetings Yvonne. A well-written verse. So sorry for the loss of your youngest Son, you expressed how you feel very well. My Brother-In-Law has lost a dear Father and Brother to cancer, we had to watch them both deteriorate until they sadly passed! Not a nice experience at all. A nice verse, well done. You are a good poet. Blessings. Love love, Andrew.
ReplyDeleteThank you as always Andrew for your most welcomed comment.
