Tomorrow is Mother's Day here,
I write my tribute today to my mum (pic above)
MY MUM:
You were a mum in a million.
One with a heart of gold.
Your first priority was your family,
Your memory will never grow old.
Although your life was very tough,
You taught me right from wrong.
You set me a good example.
Your love made me strong.
I thank you for so many things
You sacrificed for me.
Yes, life was very hard for you.
Dad died when I was three.
Throughout my life you were always there,
When I needed you.
Twenty one years ago the roles were reversed
As I spent your last day with you.
As I sat and held your hand
As you passed from one life to another.
With tears in my eyes I said my goodbyes,
To a lady I was proud to call Mother.

Thinking of you on Mother's Day
As I think of you every day

What a lovely tribute to your mom, Yvonne. What a sweet lady she looked to be. I know how difficult it is to be raised by a "single" mom as my dad died when I was 18 months old. I think moms who raise kids under those circumstances are mighty warriors for their children. Sounds like that was how your mom was.

Checking to see if this comment goes through. The ones I did earlier said only members could post, or something like that. If this doesn't go, I'll try again.
