THE IWSG MARCH 2019:

Welcome to March one and all.
I hope it is a wonderful month for you.
As always my thanks go to Alex and team
for a much loved and successful group.
This month I write a poem I wrote years ago
With the prospect of spring on the horizon
and also perhaps the  words will
help me get through the grieving process
of a much loved son.

THE RE-AWAKENING:
Nature is re-awakening after winter's gloom and doom.
The flowers in the garden are beginning to bloom.
Squirrels are jumping from tree to tree.
Baby lambs are in the fields for all to see.

Lovers walk hand in hand in a world of their own.
Also baby birds from their nest have finally flown.
The scattered April showers that will come our way.
Will be making way for the sunshine in May.

This is a wonderful time of the year.
When skies at night are wonderfully clear.
I wouldn't miss this time of the year for anything.
The time of Mother Nature's re-awakening.

  3. I love your poem. So beautiful. Although I love spring, and please bring it on, animals and plants together try to maim my property. :) So I'm shielding up for the battle.

  8. We spend winter in Florida and avoid all the snow in Michigan. I truly believe folks who fight through the bad weather appreciate the spring more than we who waited it out. But, I still love Michigan spring. Gorgeous. Hoping it will warm up soon up North.

  13. Your poem is the perfect greeting for spring. March arrived like a lion so far, but then this weekend the temps begin to soar. That will make the flowers (and weeds) pop. Ray is sneezing already.
    Take care
