WET WINDY TUESDAY:

WET WINDY TUESDAY:
I  missed yesterday's post,
And here's the reason why.
I did something unexpected,
As I looked up to grey skies.

You see dear friends on Sunday,
The mirror I did clean.
What I saw shocked me no ends,
I was by all means not that keen.

My hair had grown considerably,
Likewise the noticalbe grey.
Was I staying like that?
In two words "No Way".

I had neglected myself,
Since the passing of my son.
Also have lost weight in the process,
Again to me not much fun.

Well yesterday saw me at the hairdressers,
Coloured and cut to perfection.
Ashamed that it had got to that state.
My unintenional "Neglection".

Today it's wet and windy,
Have got chores to do.
I hope your Tuesday goes with a swing.
That's my wish for you.

    1. I used to visit the hairdresser weekly at some point of my life but these past few years have only gone when it's COMPLETELY neccessary. I always said that "One can't alter their age, but can control what colour their hair is".

      Have a good day.

  6. What a great awakening, Yvonne. Yes, a mirror speaks the truth. A new hairdo with the beautiful coloring is perfect to lift a girl's spirits. When I cover up my gray, I feel years younger. YOUR poem to day is very inspiring. Thanks for ending my day in such a nice way. Happy tomorrow to you.

I always say "One Can't Alter Their Age But Can Chose What Colour Thier Hair Is".

      Have fun.

  7. You're entitled to a little self-neglect, given the circumstances. My three younger sisters have all let their hair go grey; but my brother Roy and I are firm believers in the uplifting power of hair color. I'm catching up backwards, so I know that the trip to the salon resulted in back pain. May that new do last way longer than the pain!
