HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND:

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND:

Once again it's Friday,
The weekend  is nigh.
I hope yours is a good one.
As time passes swiftly by.

For me it will be bitter sweet,
I will tell you the reason why.
It would have been my son's birthday,
I know many tears I will cry.

He was born on Sunday Oct 6th '68.
I was blesssed with a wonderful son.
Happy and carefree at heart.
How he loved life's fun.

I must remember the good times,
On this coming weekend.
If the weather happens to be good.
Some time on the beach I'll spend.

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND:

  1. Indeed. You've been working hard to be positive. Don't derail this weekend. Think of happy times and celebrate your son. Treat yourself to something good in his honor. I hope the weather is nice and you can enjoy a stroll to the beach - that always brings calm. Take care

  4. I love that picture of you and son, Yvonne! It's not my place to say this, but I'm going to charge in and make a suggestion anyway. Go out on Saturday morning and find your favorite goody. Buy a nice candle, maybe a bottle of wine (or your favorite libation). Then on Sunday, put that candle on that goody, light that candle, and thank God for the incredible gift of your fun-loving son! Then make a wish for something for you in your future. Open that bottle of wine, take out a sheet of paper, and write down all the positive wonderful things about your son and the joy he brought you. Then turn it into a loving poem. By all means, drink the whole bottle of wine, or save some for Monday! Turn his birthday into a celebration of his life. Fight for feeling the joy and the love in your son's life. (I hope you aren't offend by me butting in!) I'm rooting for you! Hugs!!!!!

    1. Thank you Louise for such a wonderful comment also taking the trouble to write it. As I don't drink wine and have already written poems for my future new book to celebrate John's life I am left with the candle and cake. Once again Louise many thanks.

  5. The beach is perfect for your weekend, Yvonne. The water splashing against the beach. The coolness it brings. Treasure the memories as you stroll through the sand. Lovely picture.
