SAD LOOKING TREES:
The street where I reside,
are lined with lovely trees.
A pleasure to look out on
Whenever one may please.
But due to the terrible weaather winds,
The trees are looking so sad.
You see the authorities have cut them ,
Making the view oh so bad.
No birds nest in the trees,
I hope theyr'e nesting somewhere new.
Many times during the day,
I used to survey the wonderful view.
But it really is so sad,
As out of my window I see.
The loneliness that have entered our street
Via these sad looking trees.

Cut and with all of the leaves falling - bet that does make them look sad.
ReplyDeleteIt's awful to look at them Alex.

That's a shame. Even trees with no leaves are still pretty. Hopefully, the trimming will help them and they'll be back in the spring. Meanwhile, you just have to read a book, I guess. Take care. Hope it's a good weekend
ReplyDeleteYes Joanne, will have to read instead of looking at the outside world,

There's a road not far from us where they've trimmed the trees so they don't touch the power lines and all of the trees are this weird, Y shape.
ReplyDeleteI agree it does look weird .
DeleteHave a good weekend Diane.
Yvonne.
The poor trees! I do hope the birds found another place for them to rest!

I hope so too Betty. Thanks for the visit.

It is sad to see the trees without their branches. All we can do is hope that hey'll sprout new branches next spring, the birds will return, and they'll be even more beautiful than before.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if trees felt the pain when being cut down? The street dosen't looks so attractive now. Thanks for the lovely comment Beverly.

Better sad than angry trees.
ReplyDeleteIf you say so, but they sure don't look nice.

Sorry to hear about your trees, Yvonne. Trees always look scalped when they're newly trimmed. We didn't have pretty fall leaves this year. The leaves all curled up in a brown mess and withered in place. It's due to our erratic weather, I'm sure. Have a good one!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a funny autumn weather wise here one minute the sun smiling down on us the next gale force winds and torrential rain. No snow ........yet.
DeleteThanks for your visit Louise.
Yvonne.
Weather can really damage a tree and make them look sad. With all the topical storms and hurricanes that breeze through where I live, I know just what you mean.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chrys, I guess it was time they were cut .
DeleteEnjoy this new week.
Yvonne.
Aww.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra.
