WELCOME TO THE NEW WEEK:
Above is my local market,
Which I've missed much of late.
But will get there someday,
I can catagorically state.
I welcome this new week,
Today is a public holiday.
The last one before Christmas,
That I can honestly say.
Many visitors will flock here today,
Always do this time of year.
Disregarding the pandemic,
That many of us do fear.
Do have a wonderful week,
Again full of happiness and hope.
Should you be experiencing problems.
I know you will be able to cope.
HAPPY NEW WEEK:

Certainly don't go today, but you can pick a time when hardly anyone is there and go. That's how we visit the movie theater so often - we go when there is maybe ten of us in the entire place.
ReplyDeleteWill take your advice Alex, but I will endevour to get there all the same another day. I did wonder if you went to a packed movie theatre went you went,
DeleteHave a good week.
Yvonne.
Hope you had a nice stroll this morning without too much tourist hassle. At least new people to look at. Our weekend was nice - a good mix of busy and relax. Now off to another week of work. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteOnly a short stroll today as packed with tourists.
DeletePleasd you had a good weekend.
Take care and enjoy this new week.
Yvonne.
I hope you have a great week, Yvonne, and that you are able to go to your local market soon. Take care!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Chrys, much appreciated. Hope you and family are keeping well.
DeleteYvonne.
Happy Monday, Yvonne! I'm happy to hear that you had a stroll today, even with all the tourists. Our long holiday is next weekend. It's hard to believe that fall is coming, but it certainly feels like it today. It's hot, but the light feels like fall. This summer has been as weird as last summer. Terry is already grousing about winter. I've been house-walking today because the air is bad again. But we really can't complain. It's perfectly fine here, especially when I think about Hurricane Ida and how it has ravaged Louisiana. I hope that you have a great week and that the tourists dissipate soon. I'm anticipating a slower week which will be a relief after two hectic ones. Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you Louise for your wonderful comment, I also does house walking if I can't get out although the man below me complains.
DeleteI hope your week will be slower and also hope Terry is getting much better.
Take care.
Yvonne.
The last holiday before Christmas. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteMy sentiments exactly Sandra.

I'm glad you got your blogger problems fixed! I think people are tired of the pandemic and just want to be out and about, getting a sense of normalcy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry, your comment much appreciated.

I feel this poem deep in my core. I worry Delta is about skyrocket issues in my area.
ReplyDeleteThere is much going on in this world besides the pandemic, I think we all have fears about one thing or another.
DeleteMany thanks for coming by, much appreciated.
Yvonne.
