CHRISTMAS PAST:
Christmas day was spent reliving,
The years of Christmas's past.
My, they were happy ones,
Ones in my memory will last.
Above is a photo of Tabitha my cat,
As you can see it's Christmas time there.
She was a diabetic cat,,,, needing daily shots,
Something so unfair.
I thought of my hubby,
Long departed of this world you know,
Also gone, my youngest son John.
How I miss them so.
This Christmas oh so different,
Totally, totally alone.
Didin't see one solitary soul,
Not even a ring on my phone.
I tried to call daughter and son,
But alas no avail.
Must have had their phones switched off,
From the signal I could tell.
I hope your Christmas Day was great.
Everything in "The Garden Rosy".
We had pouring rain here,
Hoping yours were more cosy.
Have a wonderful day today.
That's my wish for you all.
Perhaps today I will speak to someone,
Should I again make a telephone call.
HAVE A GREAT DAY:

I'm so sorry to hear you spent Christmas by yourself. That's got to be tough.
ReplyDeleteHope your New Year is much, much better.
Thanks for the kind words Sandra, much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteSorry you had to spend Christmas all alone. It must have been hard. My holiday has definitely changed too since my husband died. Hope you have a Happy New Year and get to see your family soon.
ReplyDeleteI may have been alone Natalie, but I had my past memories to recall.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with yourself.
Take care.
Yvonne.
Glad you had good memories to reflect upon. We did see family a week before Christmas and then Christmas Eve day. Christmas Day was quiet and indeed reflective. We are sunny and warm right now, but cold spell headed our way. Take care and may the sun shine on your thoughts with your Danny boy crooning for you.
ReplyDeletePleased you sa family over Christmas. Hope it don't get too cold.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Yvonne.
