Welcome to February, hope all is well.
Thanks as always go to Alex and team for this wonderful site.
Today we are remembering Jeremy Hawkes who sadly
is no long with us . May he RIP as I send my condolences to
all family and friends.
PEOPLE WHO INFLUENCED ME:
My mother was a great influence in my life,
As she brought me up single handed.
My father passed away when I was three,
But she did what was demanded.
She was always there for me,
Whether I was happy or perhpas sad.
Taught me the piano to play,
Which was not altogether bad.
She worked very hard in life,
To help me on my way.
Many a wise word to me spoken,
Each and every day.
Although she left this world,
Many years ago.
I still miss and remember her,
Especially at times like now.
Should anyone upset me,
And I was feeling blue.
I recall the times she'd say to me
"To Thine Own Self Be True."

I love your mom's advice to you. Thanks for sharing it with us and your memories of her. She sounds like a strong, wonderful mom who did what she had to when she was left as a single parent.

Your mother would be so proud of you, Yvonne! You are a lovely and compassionate person ~ and strong, like your mother! We were both fortunate in the mothers we had! Sending you love and hugs!

You were fortunate to have such a supportive mother. So did I and fortunately my father was around until I was 39 years old. Parents can make such a difference in a life.
