WELCOME TO THE NEW WEEK:
Another new week has entered the scene,
Last week's worries behind us.
Hoping all will benefit.
From happiness and no fuss.
Yesterday was exceedingly hot,
Again I remained indoors.
Did much reading and watching TV,
After doing household chores.
Already at the middle of July,
The gardens look very sad.
This is the second dryest summer
The UK has ever had.
The birds are looking
For a much needed drink.
Sadness in their songs,
Well, that's what I think.
Do have a wonderful week.
Whatever comes your way.
Whether on holiday or at work.
So precious is every day.

Stay cool. If it makes you feel better, by end of week we shall be at 105 F. Now that's HOT!
ReplyDeleteJoanne as you so rightly say THAT IS HOT. Hope you'll be ok when it arrives.
DeleteYvonne.
We've been really dry too, but it's supposed to rain tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteYes Diane we too can do with the rain but one shop keeper told me it's going to get hotter....heaven forbid.
DeleteEnjoy your week.
Yvonne.
Very hot today here also. We did get a little rain yesterday but it didn't cool it off. Might happen tomorrow though. My lawn still has a little green left.
ReplyDeletePleased some green is left on your lawn. It's going to get cooler here for a few days before a hot weekend.
DeleteHave a lovely week Susan.
Yvonne.
Hopefully a good week is had and the birds get a drink at your pad.
ReplyDeleteYes Pat the birds will drink.
DeleteSeeint their desperation made me think.
Yvonne.
I can sympathize with you, Yvonne. We're having some of the hottest weather we've had in a long time. 102 degrees today. The grass is brown. Like you said, the birds are not even singing. It's supposed to be this way all week. Stay out of the heat when possible.
ReplyDeleteIs the world gone crazy Beverly?
DeleteHaving to remain indoors in the summer is uneard of here.
Have a good week despite the weather.
Yvonne.
My garden is wilty too:(
ReplyDeleteHope your Tuesday is productive and pleasant.
It is going to be VERY hot weekend.
DeleteThanks for coming by Sandra, hope your garden gets some rain.
Yvonne.
Being hot appears to be unkind. But hot or cold it rightly gives variety. It makes it all the more interesting!
ReplyDeleteHank
It certainly is interesting Hank.

During this time of the year, I stay indoors as much as possible.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by Chrys much appreciated.

It's hot here, too. 92 degrees F. Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteVery hot Sherry, take care.
DeleteYvonne.
It's been hot everywhere I've been of late. Now I'm back home and feeling kind of sad to not be out on the road still. I need to get back into a home routine and get some stuff done.
