ONE DATE TWO MEMORIES:
Today would have been my anniversary,
Fifty-five long years ago.
As I walked down the aisle on my brither's arm
I vividly remember it so.
Although the weather was not good.
The sun shone in our hearts.
As we took our wedding vows.
"Until death do us part"
We were wed for thirty- five years.
Wonderful years together.
Three children came into our lives
Through sunshine and stormy weather.
Through sunshine and stormy weather.
It would also have been my mother's birthday.
It was my hisband's idea to wed on that day.
He thought the world of my wonderful mum.
What more can I say
Both taken from me,
In the spcae of two months 20 years ago.
But today my memories are wonderful
No tears from my eyes will flow.
