A MEMORY FOR TODAY:

A MEMORY FOR TODAY:
Today is the anniversary ,
Of when my hubby and I first met.
It was at a dance hall.
A place I will never forget.

I went there with a friend.
For a evening of joyous fun.
But little did I realise
The "Rest Of My Life" had begun.

He walked across the dance floor.
I was fascinated at first glance.
When he politely asked me
"Would You Like To Dance?"

The rest as they say is history,
As that night I do recall.
We were wed a few years later.
Yes life certainly was a ball.

  4. This sweet photo of you and your husband brought a big smile to my face, Yvonne. From what little I've learned of your recent past, I know you have been through an unimaginable time.

I have not experienced what you have, but I have had times when it was hard to smile. So I make myself smile, because I read somewhere that just putting your muscles in that smile position can help. I also practice Random Acts of Smiling when I'm out and about ~ smiling at people as much as possible. Wishing you some lessening of the grief you are experiencing.

How romantic that you and your hubby met at a dance and that you were fascinated at first glance. My hubby and I met at a bus stop! Have a great day! Oh yes, I googled Bournemouth, because I was recently in Brighton and Hove. In some ways the two areas are similar with their iconic beach huts, beaches, and piers.
