A WINTER'S SUNDAY:

A WINTER'S SUNDAY:
I was up and out with the lark,
As I desperately needed milk.
I let Tennessee into the warm,
His coat feeling as soft as silk.
 
It is mighty cold here today.
Winds so very strong.
Well it it is winter after all,
To think otherwise would be wrong.
 
It is a day for relaxing,
catching up on this and that.
But not before I get a cuddle,
From my adopted cat.
 
The church bells are ringing,
To beckon people The Lord to praise.
A few people on their way I noticed.
As prayers to myself I say.
 
Do have a relaxing, peaceful Sunday.
Hope your plans go with a swing.
We're nearly through January,
A day nearer to spring.

    I am back from my Philly visit. Glad to see Ray in TX and it's warmer here. A good lazy Sunday - doing laundry and catching up on Blogs. Hope you're doing okay this last week of January. Take care

      Welcome back Joanne good to read your comments again. I recall going to Philly whilst I was in the US some years ago. went to a series of concerts by my Irish singer Danny Boy. Had a great time.

    You need to tune into a church that broadcasts their sermons through their websites via a live stream. Then you can go to church but stay home all warm and dry.

    You have the cutest cat pictures. This one is priceless. It's great that you're busy today, even though it's cold. Tennessee is there to keep you warm. We're having a spring-like day, which is most welcome. Cold is on the way, will reach us sometime tomorrow. I enjoy the nice days when they're here. Have a restful day.

    Hi, Yvonne! It sounds like you had a good day despite the cold winds. It's been cold here all weekend, and Terry and I have been hanging out by the fire. We just got back from Parkway after spitting a nice dinner and two glasses of wine. We have snow coming tonight, but hopefully only an inch or two. Wishing you a great week! Take care!

    Hope you enjoyed your day. It's been too snowy to go out all day and is going to get bitter cold this week. Like below zero. I'll be staying in and dreaming of spring.
