I wrote this many years ago
for my husband, I also dedicate this now to my
late son John.
AS THE MOONBEAMS KISSES THE OCEAN:
As the moonbeams kisses the ocean,
I walk along the shore.
Thinking of life in general,
Missing you even more.
As the moonbeams kisses the ocean,
I recall happy days together.
Of those there were plenty,
We also face stormy weather together.
As the moonbeams kisses the ocean,
I feel your precence near.
You were and are my soulmate.
To alleviate my troubled fears.
As the moonbeams kisses the ocean,
Still walking by the shore.
I wished we could have had longer together,
It appears God wanted you more.

A beautiful poem, Yvonne. I'm glad that you and your soulmate had plenty of happy times and weathered the storms together. When my mother died, I wouldn't erase my last phone message from her. I kept replaying it and replaying it. I just wanted to hear her voice one more time one more time. Then one day the phone company got rid of it. I get your wanting to hear you son's voice at the other end of the phone. Sending you a big hug and wishes that your grief eases a little.
ReplyDeleteMany appreciative thanks Fundy Blue for a wonderful comment.
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
