THE WEEKEND COMETH:
With Christmas and New Year celebrations
Now in the past.
I hope the coming weekend will be one
That in your memory will last.
Me? will be off to market,
After feeding Tennessee.
The weather it is freezing cold.
As he sits here on my knee.
Positivity still remains my attitude of mind.
As the days goes by.
I don't want a repeat of last year
When many tears I did cry.
Taking each day as it comes
Is my objective in life.
Why worry about what may never happen
Only brings heartache and strife.
So on this Friday morning,
With the weekend in view.
Have a wonderful weekend.
My thoughts will be of you.

Greetings Yvonne. I enjoyed reading your verse, well done. I hope weather permitting you can get to go to your local market this Weekend. It's been cold here in Chester for days - I've had my heating on for a long while now! Glad Tennessee is still visiting. Blessings. Love love, Andrew.
ReplyDeleteThank you Andrew, got to the market though it was so cold.
DeleteHad a coffee then returned home, Have my heating on also.
Yvonne.
If you can't control it, why worry about it?
ReplyDeleteI need a weekend. These three day work weeks are killer.
Thank you Alex, When there are public holidays like Christmas and new year it's hard to recall what day it is until the usual routine is re-started.

and I'm sending you good weekend thoughts. I bit brisk here but supposed to be a sunny weekend. We're still dealing with Ray's folks and senior tribulations. But I"ll find some time to read and relax after work today. Take care
ReplyDeleteHope the sun shines on you this weekend Joanne, I can relate to the senior tribulations at first hand.

Great advice, Yvonne. Like your attitude and your lovely poem. One day at a time is all we can deal with. The sun is shinning here today. The snow is melting. A few days of warmer weather are welcome. Have a great rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteI did have a good day Beverly, managed to get my backlog of laundry washed and dried then put my feet up. Hope your weather gets warmer......very cold here but dry.
DeleteTake care.
Yvonne.
Why worry indeed. Better to just enjoy and keep going on.
