WINTER AT BOURNEMOUTH

My beach in the winter:
WINTER AT BOURNEMOUTH:
Living at a coastal resort
In the summertime is great.
But oh the lonliness of winter
Is overwhelming I can state.

There are no friendly visitors,
Who will stop and have a chat.
The only living thing I see right now
Is Tennesee the cat.

I went out early this morning,
Sugar I needed for a hot drink.
Extremely cold.....below zero
I honestly do think.

I fed Tennessee in the warm.
Much to his delight.
He ate his food with gusto.
What a welcomed sight.

Yes living at the seaside
Is great in summer and spring.
But again the lonliness of winter,
Is most disheartening.

Have a great weekend,
Wherever you may be.
Whether here in the UK.
Or across the big wide sea.

Winter by the seaside can be so discouraging - quiet and lonely days. New Year greetings Yvonne!

  4. The deserted beach looks so lonesome. I'm glad you have Tennessee to keep you company part of the day. Maybe it's time to write another book. When I'm writing the time passes fast. Stay warm and have a good new year. Hugs.

  5. That's why you need to make friends with the locals who stay there year long.
Does it snow on your beach? That would be wild to see.

    1. Where I reside Alex it's not very friendly, there are many ex convicts and drug addicts etc. Why only on Chrsitmas Eve there were mulitple stabbings around the corner where I live. That's why I keep myself to mysself.

  6. I must admit, that picture looks pretty bleak. Brrr.... We are sunny here today so travel across the pond to soak up some rays on the patio.

  7. That photo literally gave me a chill, Yvonne. Having lived by the sea in Newfoundland, I know just what that feels like. I'm sure Tennessee enjoyed the warmth and food. Take care!
