HERE'S TO A GRAND WEEK:
With the sun smiling down already,
We start another new week.
A week I hope and contentment
As happiness we all seek.
With jobs and shopping up to date,
There's thing I would like to do.
Especially as the weather is grand,
Hope you feel the same way too.
I need to purchase some new clothes,
And of course visit the beach.
Mingle with the visiting crowds.
All problems out of reach.
Have a grand week everyone.
One of happiness and hope.
And should the going get tough,
I know that you will cope.

This is the first morning in about two weeks that the sun is shining. We've had so much rain and flooding that the gloom and doom of it makes one feel a bit weak. Love this poem.

Happy new week to you, Yvonne! And happy shopping for new clothes! I was delighted to see that you chose a Maude Lewis illustration for your post! Maude Lewis is a much loved, well-known Nova Scotian artist. Her home was about six miles from my Grandmother MacDonald's near Digby, Nova Scotia. I had the honor of visiting Maude and her husband in their home with a friend circa spring 1971. It was painted top to bottom with her vibrant art. She is known for painting many kinds of animals, but surely her kittens are huge favorites.
