ONE PROUD GRANDMOTHER:
Yesterday I had a text message,
From my third grandchild TJ.
He told me what he had been doing.
Which made me so proud I can say.
First, he's started doing voluntary work
At his local hospital no less.
Then he became a blood donar,
Amid his fear of needles he confessed.
Although I haven't seen him,
For many a long year.
I really am so proud of him,
I let out one big cheer.
Good things do happen,
Only now and then.
My heart swelled with pride for him.
Perhaps I may see him, but wish I knew when.
