I COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT I READ:

I COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT I READ:

The other night feeling at a loose end.
I sat down and read the above book.
Yes! it was one of my own,
So thought I would take a look.

I couldn't believe how positive I was,
Was that me that had written these verses?
With what have occurred over the past ten months,
How many times have I been guilty of curses.

Well I finished the book,
And without a shadow of a doubt.
Felt  so uplifted that I must say.
I put my coat on and went out.

I couldn't believe how positive I'd once been,
But life changes that I do know.
I must take my own advice more in the future,
And once again experience that "Inner Glow".

Have any of you ever read your own work?
If so please tell me do.
Am I the only "Insane One" on the blog.
I'm asking this question to you.

  1. Yes, take your own advice and be positive again.
I reread my first book when my publisher had me do some additional edits, but I haven't read any of the others once they were published.

  2. no insanity. It's good to reflect, read the "past" you and consider the "future" you and where you are now. I've done it. It's like looking at an old photo album. Makes you smile.

  3. That's good you read an "old" book of yours Yvonne. I'm sure you probably won't ever be that positive again considering what you have been through but you might get a little of it back over time. Its nice to know where you have been and where you might want to be down the road.

  7. That is so cool to get advice from your past self. Once in a blue moon I will read old blog posts of mine and crack myself up. I didn't know I was that funny and weird. It gives me a warm feeling in my tummy.

Randomly found your blog through IWSG.

  9. My hope is that you will get your positive attitude fully back! I've been rereading parts of my old journals. Definitely a mixed venture, and definitely not literature! LOL Take care!

  10. What a wonderful awakening to have read how positive you were in the book you wrote. And it has helped you see the light. I'd say that is a wonderful book to help you every day. I may have to try reading one of my books sometimes. Thanks for the wonderful news.
