THE WEEKEND IS HERE:
The weekend is here the last in the month,
Next week we commence October.
It's a month full of unkind memories for me,
As already I begin to remember.
This weekend weather permitting.
I must get to the beach.
To try and clear my muddled head,
Letting the bad memories go out of reach.
It will be a year ago,next month,
That I lost my dear son.
Where have the past year gone?
Believe me not much fun.
Let's hope your weekend is happy.

And your life not in a "Mess".

We are finishing out Sept in hot weather. But lunch with Ray's folks today - the super seniors are plodding along okay. Tomorrow we go to a baseball game -should be fun despite sweating. I shall try to not whine.

Take care and don't pull yourself down. You can mourn, but also think of positive memories of those gone. Hope that helps!

Hi, Yvonne! I do hope that you get down to the beach and let the fresh air clear your mind and the ocean fill your soul. Dealing with the loss of people we love is the most painful situation we deal with in life, and the loss never really goes away. It just becomes bearable. I have never lost a child, so I can't even imagine what you are experiencing. Just know that I am thinking of you and wishing you well.

I replied to everyone except you, because when I got to you, the internet was balking again. So I reached you through Alex's blog. Technology can make a person crazy!! Oh Yvonne, it will be a hard month for you. I have no words of wisdom. Grief is a hard thing. It sneaks up on us when we least expect it and I have not had to grieve the loss of a child. I do know in losing my mom the first year with the firsts of not celebrating Christmas, holidays, etc., together was a hard one. It is always hard to miss those we loved dearly. Take it a day at a time and do the best you can.
