IT'S TUESDAY:

IT'S TUESDAY:

Since Saturday life has been in turmoil.
And here's the reason why.
It's all because of a 70 mph wind and heavy rain
Descending from the sky.

The roof of the back of our house
All slates blown to the ground.
Scaffolding was erected yeaterday.
Leaving me speechless I'll be bound.

My bedroom window looks like
I'm in prison would you believe.
Me thinking November was better,
How I was decieved.

Have not been out for a few days,
Was afraid to venture out.
I suppose there's folk worse off than I
That's without a doubt.

I hope your Tuesday will be great,
Me? off to get my new specs.
Have to try and clean the mess.
So it's "All Hands On Deck".

HAPPY  TUESDAY:

  2. Oh no, Yvonne! That is never fine! It is hard to deal with things like this but I am glad you are okay. My husband was stuck in traffic for one hour last week, barely moving 5 miles during that time. It was a bad accident (no one seriously hurt). He was late for work but he got there in one piece. So I am grateful that you weren't hurt in this incident. Now dealing with the aftermath is not always fun so I hope it goes as smoothly as it can for you and I hope soon you'll be able to start feeling better again.

    1. Thank you Betty for your comment, pleased your husband got to work safely last week. It was an awful day Saturday, extremely high winds , much damage done in the area but all peaceful now.

  6. That sounds horrible. Hope all is back to normal again. I don't care for stormy weather either. We have thunder and light rain right now. Think I'll close down my computer. Lightning scare me. Later.

  7. Oh boy, Yvonne! I'm glad that you weren't hurt! Here's hoping that the work is completed quickly and the scaffolding soon gone from your bedroom window. I am grateful to be retired so that on miserable days I can stay home and not venture out in bad weather. I feel so badly about the wacky weather everywhere and how it's impacting people. 70 mph winds! That's unreal! Take care, my friend!
