HI ON TUESDAY:
Hope your Tuesday will be grand,
It started early for me today.
I finally made it to the shops,
"Ignoring" the virus I will say.
Oh! I haven't forgotten it.
Just that food was in short supply.
To say I'm not scared.
I would be telling a lie.
News reports say it's the elderly
That are most vulnerable and at risk.
Well being half way through my seventiies,
I turned the news off rather quick.
With food cupboards filled to capacity,
I think I will remain indoors for now.
Still washing these old hands of mine.
I can certainly take a bow.
Happy Tuesday to you all,
Hope life for you is great.
I have plenty of books to keep me going,
I can honestly state.

You got what you needed - just lay low for a while.

Glad you are restocked and being cautious. I bet the breath of fresh air felt good. Now, enjoy reading, don't over watch the news, and stay safe and healthy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Joanne, I won't watch the news at all.....if I can help it. Hope you and family are ok.

I was at the shop when they opened at 7am......and there were queues waiting outside the door. Guess everyone had the same idea that not many would be up and about at that time.
DeleteHope all is well with you Betty.
Yvonne.
I read a report from the BBC that there will be more cases in the next few weeks but they are expecting it to just run its course.
ReplyDeleteI did wonder what the course would be Diane, Hope you and yours are well.

Keep washing those hands:)
ReplyDeleteWill do Sandra.: Thanks.

I hope the illness is soon history. I wash my hands quite often, even when I haven't been anywhere. You never know what's floating through the air. I imagine it will be taken care of, with all the good doctors around. Enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.
