MIDWEEK WEDNESDAY:
Halfway through another week.
My, how the time does fly.
As I sit here in the loneliness,
Wondering what and why.
What will be the outcome,
Of the world's present situation.
Why oh why did it occur,?
Upsetting every nation.
My son in law still does my shopping,
He really is a grand man.
He also does his father's too.
Helping all he can.
But the sheer loneliness,
So different from time gone by.
No travelling or concerts,
I let out one long sigh.
Will those days ever return,
I suppose we have to wait and see.
But I know I took many things for granted,
I will emerge hopefully a much "Wiser Me".
YVONNE LEWIS 09/09/2020
we shall all emerge from our cocoons someday. Meanwhile stay safe. We have big storms coming in this Wed. I hope my drives to and from work are not crazy. Take care
ReplyDeleteI think we;re going to be cocooned for quite a while yet Joanne.
DeleteHoope you weather your big storm that's due.
Take care.
Yvonne.
I hope today is a good day. Loneliness can be so overwhelming. So glad you have your son in law.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandra, have never been so lonely in my life.
DeleteBut I have my laptop, TV, my Danny Boy cd/dvds.
Yake care.
Yvonne.
That loneliness would be hard Yvonne and its going on for far too long I fear. Even when they open up visiting to nursing homes people can only have a 15 minute visit and no hugs. Just such a sad situation all around.

Thanks for your coment Betty, yes life is pretty lonely but I can't do anything about it.
DeleteTake care.
Yvonne.
Maybe the people in your apartment area should do a social distance gathering on the lawn. Even just a couple of you so you can talk.
ReplyDeleteWe have no gardens in our street Alex, but it would be a good idea if we did.

I wonder, too, Yvonne, what will be the end. Will the world get straightened out or can it get worse? I certainly pray not. Your son sounds like a caring man. God bless him for all he does. I hope you have a good rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteI try and not think too much about the world getting worse as it frightens me Beverly. My son in law is a very kind man indeed.
DeleteKeep well and safe.
Yvonne.
"One day at a time" is my mantra, Yvonne. The world will get through this. We will get through this. Meanwhile I am being as careful as I can, because I want to survive and live! But were the worst to happen, and I should die, I've had a good life and I'm grateful. But I am not planning to kick the bucket any time soon! LOL I'm glad that you have a wonderful son-in-law! Take care, my friend!
ReplyDeleteSome days seem longer than others Louise, I do miss the small things in life I took for granted...... a lesson to us all I think.
