THURSDAY'S VERSE:

Above is a picture of my daughter,

Her husband also son.

They have been so kind to me

Since the pandemic first begun.

Mike has done my shopping ,

Donna, for while my laundry.

Although she is now severly crippled,

She would do anything for me.

Their son Harry is now 21 years old,

And is training to be a school caretaker,

He has a wonderful sense of humour,

A proper laughter maker.

This picture was taken many years ago,

When Donna was hale and hearty,

Loved to go for walks,

Also to family parties.

But sadly she has a muscle illness,

And is wheelchair bound.

But she has a positive outlook on life,

To my astonishment I have found.

------------

Keep Safe and well everyone.

  1. I hope she keeps up that positive attitude. What a blessing the two of you came together again before all of this hit.

  5. Thank you Louise for your kind words, Yes it is heart-wrenching to know she is disabled. As a child and young teenager she was a disco dancer in a group..... even been on TV. So sad to see her struggle but she is a very positive person.
    Yvonne.
