A LIGHT AT THE END OF A VERY LONG TUNNEL?

I again went out a couple of times yesterday,

Albeit just around the block.

With mask still on I get funny looks,

Some people do continue to mock.

But this time a week ago,

I had not ventured outside.

To establish what I have achieved,

My pleasure I cannnot hide.

I sincerely hope very soon,

A light at the end of the tunnel I'll see.

I guess there are many more folk about

Who are feeling exactly like me.

If  I had friends and family nearby,

Things would tell a different story..

As I see many around in groups,

Walking around in their glory.

Well today is midweek Wednesday,

A little bit further I intend to go.

If I could get to the park

To see the "Peaceful Water's Flow".

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY:

  1. excellent. And to heck with mask mockers. They know nothing about you. You have to take care of YOU. But walking and fresh air is a positive. Enjoy!

Before long you'll get your wish, Yvonne! Positive thinking has a way of making it happen.

  4. Good for you for wearing your mask, Yvonne. I think Covid is with us for quite a while yet. I feel sorry for the people who are flaunting risk. The virus may very well infect them. I don't want to see anyone suffer and perhaps die, but it upsets me to see people deny science and embrace conspiracy theories during this pandemic. So let them mock you ~ You just continue to wear your mask, walk outside, and live the best life you can. Big hugs to you, my friend!

    1. I won't entertain the idea of not wearing my mask, with age and ny epilepsy against me I am most vunerable. Many people here don't bother to wear theirs but that is their own decision.
      Yvonne.
