A RED LETTER DAY:
Having got over another 9/11,
Took a break for a few days.
I think the break did me good,
In all so many ways.
Today I did my laundry,
Got the entire lot dry.
Had my snack of a lunch.
Letting out one big sigh.
Decided to go for a stroll,
As the sun had shown it's face.
Today I made a dream come true,
One I will not erase.
You see I actually walked to the beach,
That has been denied so long to me.
Walking there very slowly,
I saw my beloved sea,
I sat there for quite a while,
Then decided to return back home.
I did however catch a cab back,
As it's all uphill to get home.
So as you can see it's a specail; day,
One I will certainly treasure.
There were a few tears in my eyes,
Thrown in for good measure.

I'm so happy that you had a special day and walked to the beach. Yay! I wish I could walk to the beach from my house too. And taking breaks can really help sometimes. I recently took one too to rest and feel so much better now.

Wow - just read this tonight (you are probably asleep), but I am SO happy for you. Inhaling fresh sea air, hearing the sound of waves on a beach. Wow. Just wow. You did well and I bet you slept that little bit better too.

The beach have always been availiable during this pandemic, but not going out too much could not get there until now.
