THE OTHER SIDE OF CHRISTMAS:

THE OTHER SIDE OF CHRISTMAS:
We're at the other side of Christmas,
Hoping yours were great.
Not meaning to bore you
Mine was the worst ever I can honestly state.

Didn't see or hear a soul,
Reliving Christmas's past.
Hoping that the New Year,
Will give me peace of mind that will last.

The weather was extremely cold,
No going for beach walks for me.
It would have been extremely good.
To take a view of the sea.

The passing of my youngest son,
Still evident in my mind.
Didn't get his usual Christmas call,
Life does seem unkind.

Perhaps a light will shine,
In this dark tunnel I find myself in.
I will HAVE to be more positive,
If I want to win.

HAVE A GOOD DAY:

  1. Greetings Yvonne. You've been missed, and I am so glad you are re-joining our community of bloggers. Your comments on my site are much appreciated, and I welcome them. So sorry you are suffering grief with the loss of your youngest Son. I'm so sorry you have no support for your suffering, and that the doctors haven't been much of any help to aid you! I hope socialising with bloggers will take away some of your loneliness that you are currently experiencing. I fell out with my Son on Christmas day, we'd both had a drink and he caused a domestic with me! I hope you get to have a walk on your beach? Give Tennessee a pet from me. Blessings. Love love, Andrew.

    1. Thank you Andrew, I do enjoy your poems and missed them whilst I "Endured" Christmas. I hope you and your son get back together soon as time flies so quickly. My son here in the UK stopped talking to me back on 2010, I do get the odd email but that's all. My daughter fell out with me in 2012.....because I was in a relationship with someone who was not right for me.
      Here's to the New Year.

      Yvonne.

  2. tough season to go through. But yes, you have to stay positive - that can only help your health. Stay on the blog and "chat" with folks. It's not in person, but hope you'll find some cheer. Take care

  5. The light is there even though we might not always see it. I spent a quiet Christmas this year. I was at peace and still feel relatively so. I'm looking forward to seeing my kids and grandkids in the summer--hopefully things will turn out that way.

Have a good New Year and may peace be with you.
