IT'S TUESDAY TODAY:
With Monday once more behind us,
We welcome Tuesday that's true.
Wondering what lies ahead.
On a day that is brand new.
Yesterday I went to the beach
Although it was mighty chilly.
It's lovely walking to the beach,
But on the return walk rather hilly.
Today I will do some more poems
For my new book.
Have a few already,
Not very long it took.
What are your plans for Tuesday?
Are you on vacation?
Or in the duldrums of work.
Or perhaps visiting a different nation.
Whatever you are doing,
Have a grand time from dawn to night.
Tonight I may take a walk
Through a local holiday site.
HAPPY TUESDAY:
Yvonne Lewis: 13/08/2019:
we are trying to beat the heat here. Heat index of 110 expected. That's insane. And some kids start school today - ridiculous. Whew. Good luck with the writing day.
ReplyDeleteHow do you survive in the heat of 110? been heavy rain here.

Wouldn't be a chilly walk here on the beach.
ReplyDeleteEditing and publisher work for me today.
Thanks Diane. Hope your editing and publisher work goes well.

Keep working on those poems!
ReplyDeleteAm trying to Alex, but sometimes the enormity of the challenge is a wee bit over whelming.

Great that you are writing the poems, Yvonne! And getting some exercise with your walk to the beach! I'm off from work today. GEtting things done around the house and then watching my grandson this afternoon for a few hours.

I'm finding the poems hard to write emotionally Betty, so many memories and a life of happiness. still must soldier one.

That kitty is too cute! I had fun seeing my sister Barb's two cats while in Nova Scotia. It's great that you are making some progress with your poetry. I worry about our mutual poet blogging friend Andrew. I'm wondering if he had a relapse and is back in treatment. Take care!
ReplyDeleteYes Funday Blue, I too have been concerned about Andrew it's been a very long time since he has posted on line. Hope he's ok. Miss reading about his life, ladies and family.

A walk on the beach and verse written. Sounds purrfect.

Let me see. Today, I did a little writing. We had a light rain this morning, which was nice. Then the cats and I went outside and took a walk. I've been trying to catch up on my email. Almost there. I think I belong to too many different things. Hope you had a lovely walk. And so happy you're writing your poems. Hang in there, treasure the memories. Love you.
ReplyDeleteNice the cats were able to go out for walks. Hope you manage to catch up with all your emails. Writing all these memories about John is theraputic in one way but now and again it can be very overwhelming.
