DEAR JOSHUA:

On Saturday(4th) it is my eldest
grandchild's birthday. he will be 22.
below is the poetic letter I wrote
when he was born.
His grandfather passed away 2 months later.

DEAR JOSHUA: OUR FIRST GRANDCHILD:
Welcome to the world and to our family,
May your life be filled with love
In everything you see.
You have a precious mother
Who will give you love and tender care.
Your father looked so proud of you
As you peacefully slept there.
He too was out first child,
Not so many years ago.
And we're not ashamed   to tell you.
How we loved him so.
May your life be filled with laughter,
And always wear a smile.
For we're only on this earth
For just a little while/
So as you grow from baby to toddler,
From boyhood to man.
We'll always remember the first time
We saw you .........love from your
Grandad and your nan x

  1. 22 - hope he's doing well and can celebrate his birthday a bit (and carefully). Nice poem for his history. Take care and you hold a celebration on his behalf at your place. You deserve a treat too.

  2. I hope he treasures that poem.
He should visit the States during his birthday. Then it would look like all the fireworks and celebrations were for him.
