ISWG: AUGUST:

Happy August one and all,
Thanks to Alex and team for
continuing making this a wonderful site.
MY INSECURITIES:
With the state of the world
Still in a mess.
I, like everyone is concerned
That I confess.

But we must think positive,
Of that there is no doubt.
I'm still getting to grips,
With venturing out.

My aim is to get to the hairdressers,
My appointment is next week.
Perhaps if I looked like "Me".
Happiness would return... that I do seek.

My other insecurity is the "New Blog"
I'm still trying to fathom it out.
I only have a few weeks left,
To see what it's all about.

I'm not techincally minded,
I've always had someone around.
But being all lonesome these days,
Is not good...that I have found.

So this weekend,
All being well.
Will try the new blog yet again,
Success may be there, who can tell?

  1. But you've kept up your poems during this whole time. That's a huge success. And you're going to look great after your appointment - safely done. All good and you'll get this new fangled blog down.

  2. I'm still using the old version of Blogger. Guess I need to switch and practice before it goes away.

  3. Blogger just switched to the new version for me, and I've been figuring it out okay. If you questions, email me and I'll try to help you if I can.

And that's awesome you are getting a haircut next week. I go to the store but have not ventured out for that yet.

    1. Yes being solo Jemi is not good but there are people worse off than myself,

  9. Did I misunderstand the IWSG question of the month? Maybe. Because I thought the question was something different. Too much on my plate right now. LOL! Hope you are staying safe and healthy!

  11. Hi, Yvonne! I have my finger's crossed for you and the hairdresser. I think you're smart to keep your options open to see what's happening as the appointment approaches. I'm longing to go to the hairdresser! It's quite shocking to look at myself in the mirror ~ LOL! The new blogger ~ argh! I'm getting there, slowly. I constantly click on the all the symbols to see what happens. And I make sure I copy my writing and save it in a document on my desktop in case I accidentally lose the post I'm working on. We'll all adapt, I guess. Hugs to you, my friend!

  12. Hi Yvonne. Not sure whether I've visited before, more shame me, but I'm now living no more than thirty miles from you, so if you need help with your new blog, b=perhaps I can help. Although with Zoom and stuff these days, you can get help from anywhere in the world!

    1. When it comes to setting up new things I'm hopeless, this new blogger had me stumped so reverted back. I only have until 24th August to establish new one.
This Zoom business I know nothing about.
      Yvonne.
